First Day of School 2008-2009
the Spencer Kids are all ready for their 1st day of School ... even Cambria! I love how she is leaning on her big brother Karsen! She loves her "boys" as she calls them.
Karsen's in 1st grade and Colten's in 2nd grade.. They are excited to be able to play together and eat lunch together! Most of the time, they are inseparable!
It's hard to believe how fast they grow up! Karsen has always been a silly kid and luckily... that hasn't changed!
Colten, the biggest brother, has always been more serious in a smart way. Everything has to be right!
Cambria, starting her 2nd year of Pre-School, is a perfect combination of her two brothers... Smart and Silly!
We are excited this year to see how they grow and learn!
Every morning, Cambria wakes up and tells me she "grew a little more in her sleep!"
We tease her and tell her she'll always be our little girl, but she is so determined to "GET BIG".
It's Soccer Time!!
Here's Karsen taking a goal kick for his team. He is one of the younger players, but does his best! He has his height to his advantage!
Colten is quite an amazing goalie! It was his 2nd day, but he did great! His coach needed a "big kid" to be goalie. We played a tough team, but after they put Colten in, they 0nly scored once!
Karsen playing offense as his brother defends the goal! Karsen's not particularly fond of running...
Colten, the GOALIE!!
Karsen, the OFFENSIVE SPECIALIST!

Just a Beautiful GIrl!
Cambria is just growing up so fast! Already 4 and she's the cutest & funnest little girl ever!
She loves to pose for the camera... and 'swish' her hair!
We just cherish all her facial expressions and it's great when we catch a few of them on camera! This is especially one we love! She adores her daddy!!
It's also fun to have a daughter who resembles so much of me when I was little! Do we look a like or what? Our hair is a perfect match! A lucky girl!
So this is her.. all dressed up and cute as ever! She's no trouble at all....
Hebgen Lake
Hailee & Cambria playing on dock near the cabin on Hebgen Lake! Cambria likes to play with her big-girl cousin Hailee!
Tyler, Karsen & Colten playing on the paddle boat out on Hebgen Lake. They fished from this boat a lot too!
Yep, they even got mom out there! It was great.. except my legs were exhausted after the 1st ride back against the current! Whew - it can be a lot of work!!
Daddy & Colten out in the kayaks.... Colten did great for his first time!
Dad & kids.. they wanted to do it themselves! They had a blast!
Thanks Chad & Nancy for such a fun trip! We enjoyed it...but next time... only bring a FeW of the Mosquitos Ty & Mason catch all summer long!
"Old Faithful"
Tyler, Mason, Cambria, Colten and Karsen goofing around & climbing trees right before we went to see "Old Faithful"
Mason got the highest in the tree...or was it TyLer.. this was the highest picture I had! Better yet, they all enjoyed climbing up this tree.. looks like fun!
Daddy Brett, Cuddly Karsen, Pretty Cami and G'pa Steve all waiting to see the explosion of "Old Faithful"
"Old Faithful" finally lets go!
Cambria just having a good time seeing so many fun sights!
YelLowStoNe's Hot Pots
How's we end up with this many kids??? Oh yeah.. we lost the other car full of adults... (another story for another day)!! We had a fun day seeing to many sights in Yellow -stone. We are all standing near some of the hot pots and in this picture.. it seems like we're standing on the edge of the world! It's a beautiful picture!
This is called the Black Hole because you cannot see the bottom.. it's very deep! It is also very very HOT! You can't tell in the picture, but the water is boiling!
The hot pots in Yellow -stone National Park.. they are naturally formed and very cool to see.. but not great to smell!
The family photo while sightseeing in Yellow -stone!

YeLLowStone AniMaLs We mEt aloNg the wAY!
this is our Deer friend.. there were 3 others with him, but this was the best picture!
this is our friend Buffalo! He was just walking down the street minding his own - no worry about the miles of cars he stopped! As he passed us, we took this shot - he was in arms distance practically. Brett, being the amazing dad & uncle he is.. opened the sliding door to the van on occasion to freak everyone out! It IS a pretty large animal, so we were a bit scared!
All the Buffalo's friends we watched as they crossed the street! It took a little while to drive only about 300 feet! But.. what a sight! We had no complaining from the passengers in our car who you see below!
These were the strangest animals in the park of all --- we had to take them everywhere we went! Good thing they were very well-behaved!!
Cousins having a great time! Mason and Tyler joined us for a day in the Park! We were suppose to be with more family, but that story is too long to tell!! Maybe later....maybe never.
Yellowstone Falls & Gibbon Falls
Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center
Our FamiLy at the Grizzly Bear & Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone..
Karsen and Colten enjoying watching the bears..
Cambria was happy to see a bear up so close!
Colten and cousin Mason watching the wolves..they were so lazy!
A family pic on our way up to Mammoth Springs. We stopped off to see a few Elk out in the meadow! We were surrounded by the most mosquitos ever since we were dumb enough to walk down next to a riverbed...never do that!!! We had to run so fast out of there!! It was kind of funny..but not really! I got my first bite there!! OUCH!

Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park
A family shot on our way up to Mammoth Hot Springs.. we had just missed seeing a Grizzly Bear by seconds...so bummed!
Mom & Colten at the Hot Springs..
Cute kids! We did a lot of walking here - so a picture break wasn't so bad!
Dad playing around with Karsen and Cambria.. they were skipping!
Daddy and Kids at Mammoth Hot Springs..
FireHole Swimming in West Yellowstone & Fishing Madison River
We are at the Firehole Swimming area.. it was fun to swim & float down the current of the river! The kids even got in for an hour and swam around. The boys & Cambria even swam upstream with dad and floated down the river!
Cambria just having a great time and being a brave, big girl! It wasn't the warmest water..but worth the FuN!
Dad and Kids showing where they were swimming... they did it and we were so proud! It was kind of a big deal to swim in the river with fish in there too! The current was kind of strong and pulled them down the river. Way to go guys!!
This next picture is of the boys fishing on the Madison River. Not too many fish here, but the company was great!! Brett, Tyler, Colten and Karsen walked down the river to fish & on the way back, Karsen fell in...it was kind of chilly to say the least!!
the SpeNCer kIDs SiNGing Debut
How many mP3 players can be playing in a car at one time?? That's not the problem here...but how many different songs can be sung!! Coincidently, Colten and Cambria were on the same song just a second behind the other.. Cambria magically caught up to sing with him!
Karsen is hard to catch singing because he's a little shyer than the rest! Luckily, I caught a moment here as he is singing a song with the lyric "walking on broken glass", but he doesn't say that. Listen to hear what he says, it's funny! Cambria also love to sing and she's here singing a song from Camp Rock. And as always, Colten doesn't stop singing and you can hear him in the background!
I had to put this video in to show you how intense Colten is with his music! "Music is in his soul!" When he started bustin' it out.. Brett was overwhelmed with Colten's intense voice! He was trying to read the last Twilight book, but kept getting interrupted from all the singing in the car. At one point, I even had my mP3 on with the new Sugarland music as we drove home. We really were driving daddy crazy..just imagine trying to read the best book ever with 4 loud singers within 8 ft of you! Sorry Babe...
"A Sideline Shooter"
Colten & Karsen had a great week at Basketball Camp! Colten is the shooter here in this video and Karsen played great defense! We have more home videos of the boys playing basketball which they will love watching when they grow up!
